The Brief
The F1 Australian Grand Prix is the most prized invite on the Coates customer calendar. For the 2026 race weekend at Albert Park in Melbourne, Coates briefed Cielo to host its top tier customers inside a premium, exclusive suite, a space designed to land an impression the moment guests walked in.
What Was Delivered
Cielo designed and built the Coates Lounge as a custom, modular suite, engineered with sustainability in mind and detailed to speak to the Coates partnerships with Supercars and Walkinshaw. Branding ran through every touch of the room, from catering aprons and bar runners to napkins, coasters, florals, and lanyards, with a custom charging station built in for guests. Premium catering ran throughout each day, a dedicated host held the room at all times, and the programme opened access to money can't buy experiences, including hot laps, Walkinshaw garage tours, F1 paddock tours, and appearances from Walkinshaw drivers and executives.
Across three days, the Coates Lounge hosted 180 top tier customers to a single, held standard. The suite drew praise from guests throughout the weekend, carried by the detail in the fit out and the hospitality on the floor, and the response continued in the follow up that landed with Coates the week after the race.
The F1 weekend is the most prized invite on our calendar, and the Coates Lounge drew high praise from everyone I spoke to across the three days. The follow up emails this week are a true reflection of the preparation and the attention to detail.
