The Brief
The World Surf League event at Snapper Rocks brings the surf world to the southern Gold Coast, and the crowd skews young, which is squarely Boost territory. For the May 2026 event, Boost briefed Cielo to build a high energy fan activation on the beach, one that drove brand awareness and pulled the surf crowd into the brand.
What Was Delivered
Cielo built a custom scaffold deck on the sand, anchored by a custom Boost container with a DJ and MC holding the energy across the event. Fans took on a branded air hockey ambassador challenge, played a PlayStation round as Kelly Slater, and browsed Boost products on a refurbished display counter. The skate ramp carried the weekend, running a groms skate comp alongside skate and BMX jams with Boost ambassadors from across action sports, including X Games stars and Olympians, plus signing sessions and merchandise giveaways throughout.
Across the event, the activation reached more than 50,000 fans and held the loud, high energy Boost wanted on the sand. The skate ramp pulled a steady stream of kids and pros, the signing sessions drew queues, and the Boost container kept the corner moving from open to close.
Thanks for another epic event, one for the books.
